Life has been a little crazy lately, so we’re combining two months into one update!
May Recap:
May was full of preparations for our summer teams and lots of vehicle maintenance. A huge praise—thank you to everyone who gave! We were able to purchase the vehicle scanner we needed, and it’s now here with us! Jay has already used it to scan one of our broken-down vehicles, and we’re hopeful it’s helped us identify the problem. Please pray we’re able to get the parts quickly and get these vehicles up and running again soon.
Quick Trip to the States:
I (Kelsie) traveled to the U.S. with Logan for two weeks to spend time with family and friends. It was such a needed break and a sweet time for everyone—especially with Logan. She soaked up the attention, and it was a joy for my family to be with her.

The Return Adventure:
Trying to get back was… an adventure. I was supposed to return on June 11, but a hurricane over Houston delayed my flight. We decided to stay in Huntsville (with family) rather than get stuck in the Houston airport. That began a series of delays, maintenance issues, and rebooked flights that ultimately led to me flying out at 6:00 AM two days later. Once I finally landed in Houston, more storms delayed us again. Logan was a trooper through it all, but the back-and-forth really wore her out. After nearly 23 hours awake, a delayed bag, and multiple flight changes, we made it home—exhausted but safe.

Holding Down the Fort:
While I was traveling, Jay was incredible. A mission team arrived the day I was supposed to get back, and he handled everything solo so I could rest once I finally made it home.
Sickness + Celebrations:
Not long after getting back, all three of us came down with a respiratory illness. It hit us hard, but thankfully, we were well enough to celebrate Logan’s 1st birthday this past weekend! It was such a sweet moment to reflect on her first year and all God has done in our lives since she arrived.

Summer Rush Continues:
Now we’re back to team prep! Another team is arriving tomorrow, and we’ll be hosting two more in July. It’s a busy season, but we’re excited for the opportunities to serve.
Prayer Requests:
We’d love for you to pray with us over some specific needs this month:
- Monthly Support:
Our regular monthly income is currently not enough to fully support our living expenses. In the past, one-time donations have helped us stay afloat, but those tend to slow down in the summer. Please pray for new monthly partners and financial provision. - Jay’s Truck Repairs:
Jay’s truck is currently out of commission and needs repairs. We’re hoping to raise about $200 USD to get it back on the road. Please pray for this need to be met soon. - Vehicle Insurance:
We also need to pay insurance for my vehicle within the next month, which will cost around $500 USD. Please pray that we’re able to cover this upcoming expense.
We never love asking for money—it can feel awkward—but it’s a part of being missionaries. Through these needs, we’ve seen God move in powerful ways, and your prayers and support are such a vital part of that.
