It’s been a little while since we’ve shared an update, and the end of the year was full.
November was busy but really sweet. We hosted several people in our home, including fellow missionaries who were traveling through, and it was such a gift to have that time together. We also hosted some of Katie Riley’s family during her wedding celebrations. Between multiple weddings, wedding prep, and getting quality time with people we don’t always see, the month flew by. It was exhausting at times, but so much fun. We also celebrated Thanksgiving here with Jay’s family, which is always loud, chaotic, and full, but something we truly cherish.

December started with travel for Katie’s second wedding. Kelsie photographed parts of both events, so much of her downtime was spent editing photos. After that, we headed to Jay’s family’s annual beach trip. This is not the relaxing kind of beach trip, but it is full of laughter, connection, and meaningful time together, which we always look forward to. Jay’s brother was able to fly in and stay with us for a bit, which was such a gift.

Right after the beach, we traveled to the States to spend Christmas in Alabama. This was the first time in a long while that we were able to truly slow down and rest, and it was very needed. We were exhausted, and that time ended up being incredibly refreshing. We were able to reconnect with our church family, spend lots of time with relatives, and see dear friends. We also found out during this trip that we are expecting another little girl in May, which has been such a joyful thing to celebrate.

We flew back on December 30th and rang in the New Year here in Guatemala. About a week later, Jay traveled to Las Vegas to speak at a youth conference. We’ll share more about that in our January update.

On the practical side, we are still waiting on one final part for our truck, but we are hopeful it will be ready by the end of February. Praise God for progress.
We want to sincerely thank each of you for reading our updates, praying for us, and supporting us throughout this past year. We truly could not be here without such an incredible group of people walking alongside us. We have seen God move in so many ways, and we are excited to see what He will continue to do in this new season. Thank you for being part of our lives and ministry. We are so grateful for each of you.
Ways to Pray
- That our baby girl, Presley Kelly, continues to be healthy and that the pregnancy progresses smoothly
- As we begin team season soon, pray for energy and endurance
- For Jay, as he carries the weight of multiple ministry vehicles being broken down. Pray for wisdom, provision for repairs, and against discouragement and feelings of failure
- For our finances as we step into this new year
- Night to Shine is coming up next month, and we’re working hard to finalize all the details! Please pray that we have the volunteers we need to partner with our honored guests and that the night is absolutely amazing. We pray God’s presence will fill the garden, and that everyone who walks in feels His love in a real way.
