Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.
- Proverbs 31:8-9
Jay relocated to Guatemala alongside his family at the tender age of 10. From the outset, Jay's life has been intertwined with service and devotion. Raised in a household deeply rooted in ministry, he imbibed the values of compassion and dedication early on.
In 2020, Jay's commitment to his faith and community led him to assume the role of assistant director within the ministry. While his responsibilities span various domains, his forte lies in vehicle maintenance. Whether it's ensuring the wheels of outreach keep turning smoothly or lending a hand wherever needed, Jay's versatility and tireless work ethic make him an invaluable asset.
Beyond the confines of his official duties, Jay embodies the spirit of selflessness, always ready to pitch in and tackle any challenge that comes his way. His unwavering commitment to making a difference, coupled with his willingness to take on diverse tasks, paints a portrait of a man whose heart beats for service, wherever it may lead him.
Kelsie's return to Guatemala in early 2023 marked the beginning of a new chapter in her life, infused with purpose and passion. Following her wedding, she embraced her calling with renewed fervor, joining the ranks of Hope for Home, an organization close to her heart.
Having previously interned with Hope for Home from 2017 to 2019, Kelsie brought a wealth of experience and dedication to her role within the ministry. Armed with a degree in Social Work, she aspires to weave her expertise into the fabric of her service, enriching the lives of those she touches with compassion and empathy.
At Hope for Home, Kelsie discovered her calling within the nurturing haven of the Fulp Home. Here, she crafts moments brimming with joy and laughter, orchestrating a tapestry of activities that cater to the children's spirits. Whether it's planning vibrant events or crafting heartfelt birthday celebrations, Kelsie infuses each occasion with tender care, fostering an atmosphere where young souls flourish.
In addition to her duties at the Fulp Home, Kelsie and her husband Jay form a dynamic duo at the helm of Hope for Home's teams. Together, they lead with compassion and vision, inspiring others to join their mission of spreading hope and healing to those in need.
As Kelsie continues to walk her path of service and ministry, she remains steadfast in her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others, guided by her faith and fueled by love. With each interaction and every act of kindness, she leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of those she serves, embodying the true spirit of compassion and grace.
