April 2025

April has come and gone. It had many busy moments, but also moments that forced us to slow down. We had a stomach bug hitting our house again, but this time it hit Logan the hardest, while we were in the city renewing our visa. Thankfully, the people working were so kind and helpful when that happened.

Brenda turned 18! It is so fun to be able to show off her amazing smile. We went dress shopping and I planned her party. A big praise has been that her transition into the adult home has gone much smoother than expected!

Holy Week here is huge. There are constant processions (think parade) and alfombras (long rugs looking like things created out of colorful sawdust, flowers, fruits, etc.). It makes you slow down because so many roads are closed because of them. It is a beautiful part of the culture that we live in.

We also were able to do some fun Easter things– dying eggs, egg hunts, etc., during this time both with our immediate family and grandparents, cousins.

I also helped a family who is moving down here this year find a house. Praise God because that is not the easiest task. The contract and everything is set and ready for them!

The Fulp Home accepted and received two more children this month, and I was blessed to be able to take their photos and get to spend some time with them.

Jay has been working on vehicles alot, and a huge prize is that he received the money to buy a new car scanner. To put it in perspective, he has been making due with $10 for years… it was overtime for an upgrade and God provided big. Thank you to those who gave or prayed for provision for that. We are so excited about him getting down here next month and hopefully help him figure out the problem with the two vehicles that are his struggle.

We had our first team of two come and stay at our house this month. Teams are tiring but also so helpful and fun at the same time.

Logan and I will be heading to Alabama at the end of this month because of my visa here. It is great timing though, because we will get to celebrate my grandfather’s birthday, and do an early birthday celebration for Logan with my family.

Logan had her first chicken bus experience.

Getting a group photo of the adult home is not the easiest task….

Easter with our little family.

Ways to pray!

  • Finances are still a big need. We are so thankful for the extremely generous one time donations, they are getting us through. But, we are still praying and believing that we will get more monthly supporters so finances are a little more stable monthly. Jay and I both really need to go to the doctor, dentist for checkups because it has been years since either of us have.
  • Wisdom and provision if we are supposed to seek out my residency this year.
  • Wisdom over some decisions in ministry.
  • Renewed energy!

Thank you for taking the time to read this, pray with us and for us, and for those who financially support. We are so thankful for you and praying for you all as well!
