We’re sending this update a little earlier than usual because the weeks ahead are already filling up quickly, and there truly is no slowing down.

February began completely jam-packed as we prepared for Night to Shine. The week leading up to it was full of organizing donations, sorting décor, finalizing details, and pulling together all the moving pieces.

Candice and I worked together in putting Night to Shine , and I truly could not have done it without her. She carried so much of the planning, organizing, and behind-the-scenes details with excellence and joy. Having someone to shoulder the weight of such a big event was an incredible gift.

That same week, we also had the joy of hosting a dear friend who brought many of the donated items with her and jumped in to serve wherever needed. It was such a blessing to have extra hands during one of the busiest weeks of the year, and just a friend during that week.
Friday, the day of the event, was spent transforming the garden with the help of so many willing hands. Pregnancy and the beginnings of sickness made the physical side of things more challenging than I expected, so I was especially grateful for everyone who showed up to help set up and decorate.
And then the night itself — it was amazing. Truly. Every ounce of preparation was worth it. The dance floor was like no other, and the joy on the faces of our honored guests is something I will never forget. It was contagious, pure, and overwhelming in the best way.

Jay was an incredible support through it all — running errands, helping me plan, caring for Logan so I could focus, and carrying so much of the physical setup and teardown. I truly don’t know what I would have done without him.
Then… the sickness hit.
What started as “just sinus stuff” quickly turned into ear infections for me, and Logan began feeling bad as well. One morning she woke up significantly worse, so we had her tested and got her into the doctor right away — RSV. No fun. Thankfully Logan never got as bad as me, but still so sad to see your baby sick.

Just when I thought I was recovering, I took another turn. Another ear infection and now walking pneumonia. Between antibiotics, inhalers, and all the medications, I am very ready to feel normal again. This has completely kicked my butt. It has been humbling to slow down when I want so badly to be present for everything.
In the middle of all of that, we welcomed back one of our returning Medical Teams — something we had been looking forward to for months. We love returning teams because of the relationships that grow over time. They are not just visitors; they are close friends.

Jay has been with the team every single day — driving, leading projects, and playing a crucial role in organizing the medical clinics. This year we hosted clinics in Tecpán, at Community of Hope, and tomorrow we will hold one in Aceituno at our feeding program property. Each clinic means people receiving care they may not otherwise have access to — medical attention, medications, prayer, and dignity.

Logan and I were able to join several days, but we’ve also had to sit a couple out so I could rest and she could have a more normal rhythm. That balance has been stretching for me. On Wednesday, we had a team of high schoolers from the Vegas, where Jay spoke at in January at Community of Hope as well. It was a busy day full of so many people, but so fun. Logan obviously had fun with the medical team with helping out.

Tomorrow wraps up the final medical clinic, followed by a team dinner. Early Saturday morning Jay will drive them to the airport, and then Saturday night we welcome another small team to help host for the week. On Sunday, our construction team arrives for ten days to work on projects at Community of Hope, which means Jay will be heading back to the airport again and doing a lot of driving back and forth during their stay.
So no… there is no slowing down just yet.
I will be heading back to the U.S. a day or two before the construction team leaves. I need to exit the country before my visa expires, and we also had to factor in that I’m getting closer to the point in pregnancy where flying won’t be an option. So the best time is now.

Logan and I are looking forward to a small break and sweet time with my family. It will also give Jay some quiet evenings to rest well, which will be such a gift for him. And practically, it will help us stock up on a few things we need for baby Presley and birth as we prepare for this next season.

Several people have reached out asking how they can help as we prepare to welcome baby Presley, especially since we won’t be having a baby shower in Alabama. That means so much to us. We created an Amazon registry with a few practical items, and some items that would truly help make this transition smoother. If you feel led to support us in that way, here is the link:

Ways to Pray
1. Energy & Strength
This season has stretched us physically and emotionally. With my sickness lingering, Jay has had to carry so much — stepping up at home while also leading teams, driving constantly, and managing extra ministry responsibilities. He hasn’t complained once, but he is exhausted. Please pray for renewed strength, endurance, and rest for both of us.
2. Healing
Please pray for complete healing over my body. Walking pneumonia, ear infections, and everything in between has taken a toll. I am so ready to feel healthy and energized again. Pray that I would allow myself to truly rest and recover instead of pushing too hard too soon.
3. Finances
This month has brought unexpected financial strain. Between doctor visits and medications, we have spent well over $300, and I am still in the middle of treatment. We were already in a tighter month due to fewer one-time gifts that often help bridge the gap beyond our monthly support. While this has been stretching, God has already provided through a few unexpected blessings. We trust Him, as we always do, but we would appreciate prayers for continued provision and peace.
4. Upcoming Birth
As we prepare to welcome Presley, please pray that she would move into and remain in the correct position for delivery. We are praying for a safe, healthy, and natural birth if at all possible. Pray for peace over my body and mind as that day gets closer.
Thank you for reading, for praying with us, for encouraging us, and for giving toward the life and ministry the Lord has called us to here. We truly do not take any of it for granted. Your partnership allows us to say yes to moments like these.
If you feel led to give financially or would like to learn more about how partnership works, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am always happy to share more about what that looks like and how you can be involved.
