March began with a full load as our construction team arrived while we were also hosting a couple in our home for the week. Logan and I were still recovering from sickness. Thankfully, Logan bounced back quickly, but it took me much longer to regain my energy.

The construction team was amazing. I was not able to spend a lot of time with them, but I did help drive them a few days, while Jay spent much more time serving alongside them.
On the 10th, Logan and I flew to Alabama. I needed to leave the country before Presley is born so that I can extend the time I have after her birth before needing to travel to the city to renew my visa. While I was away, Jay continued working with the construction team, and they ended up being an incredible blessing to him. Jay has been saving for an iPad that could handle the software needed for 3D printing prosthetics and orthotics, since his current one is too outdated. After hearing his heart and vision, the team surprised him with a brand new iPad that is even better than the one he had been planning to buy. We are so grateful to God for His provision in such a meaningful way.

The night before I flew out, Jay had spent the entire day leading an excursion with the team, which ended up taking much longer than expected. That evening, we decided to go out to dinner and enjoy a little time together. On the way home, a drunk driver on a motorcycle hit us. Jay swerved to avoid him, but the motorcycle still scraped along the entire driver’s side of the car. If we had not moved, he likely would have come through the windshield.

The man was okay and thankfully was wearing a helmet. Without it, the impact could have been much worse. We asked if he could help cover some of the damage to the vehicle, as the entire side was scraped, the tail light cover was broken off, and the back was dented. However, he claimed it was our fault and said we were in his lane, which was not true, and then he stumbled away. In the end, we chose to take the loss. It is now another repair we hope to take care of on the Land Rover in the future.
We called a friend who is also our mechanic, and he came to help by removing the remaining pieces of the broken tail light cover so it would not cause further damage. He also had just received our truck’s engine back from the machine shop, so we are hopeful that we may soon have our second vehicle up and running again.
My trip to the States was really special. I was able to see all of my siblings and nephews, only missing one sister-in-law. It was such a gift to spend time with my parents, extended family, and friends. They also helped care for Logan so I could rest and run errands, which was a huge blessing.

After the team left, Jay tried to take some intentional time to rest, as he had been going nonstop for quite a while and it was taking a toll on his body. I flew back on the 24th, and we have been settling back into life here.
We are now in Semana Santa, or Holy Week, which is a major celebration in Guatemala. Many businesses are closed, and there are numerous processions that often shut down roads. Because of this, we have stayed close to home, but we have truly enjoyed the extra family time it has brought.

As we look back on this past month, we are reminded again of God’s faithfulness in both the challenges and the blessings. Thank you for walking alongside us through it all. Below are a few specific ways you can continue to partner with us in prayer and giving.
Ways to Pray
- Provision and Wisdom
This month, our transfer process looked a little different, which caused a portion of our support to be delayed. While it should arrive next month, this has made the current month especially challenging. As we prepare for the baby’s arrival, there are several additional expenses, which makes this season feel even tighter. We would greatly appreciate prayer for wisdom as we make financial decisions and seek to be good stewards of what we have. We are also trusting the Lord for provision, especially with the upcoming costs of the birth, as well as the paperwork and embassy visits required for Presley’s birth abroad and passport. - My Birth
Please pray for a healthy delivery for both mom and baby. Our hope is for a smooth and natural birth, but above all, we are praying for safety and health for both of us. - Energy for Both of Us
We would love prayer for renewed energy and strength as we walk through this busy and full season together.
Ways to Give
If you feel led to partner with us financially during this season, we are so grateful. Here are a couple of ways you can give:
- Online: You can give through our website at jaykelsie.com jaykelsie.com using the donate link on the front page.
- PayPal: Gifts can also be given via PayPal at kgwester@gmail.com.
If you have any questions or would like to support in other ways, we invite you to reach out to us directly.
As we prepare to welcome Presley, we have put together an Amazon registry with some practical needs for the baby and for Logan during this transition. My parents will be arriving a few days after the due date and will be able to bring these items with them. If you would like to view or give in this way, you can find the link below.

Love,
The Fulp Family
