September Update

September started with something really special — a prayer dedication for Jay’s sister and brother-in-law’s property. I had the opportunity to photograph the event, which was such a joy. I love being able to use photography to bless friends, family, and the ministries around us.

Next came three full days of Independence Day celebrations at Community of Hope! The staff worked so hard to make it a fun, vibrant celebration for the kids — and for us Americans too! It’s always such a meaningful time of joy, laughter, and cultural pride.

After that, our little family traveled to the U.S. for two weeks for a wedding and some much-needed time with family. It was incredibly refreshing to slow down, connect deeply, and just enjoy time with the people we love. While there, we also celebrated Jay’s birthday and had the chance to share an update with one of our supporting churches. Those conversations were such a blessing, and we left feeling encouraged and grateful.

A big new development — we’re working toward hosting a Night to Shine! Months ago, the idea came to mind, but I quickly got overwhelmed with everything else happening. Thankfully, a dear friend and fellow missionary, Candice, offered to help. Together, we’ve been planning and preparing, and we are so excited for the possibility of hosting this incredible event. We’re currently waiting to hear back about our application and a grant that would help fund it. Please pray with us that everything comes together, and that through it all, God’s glory shines brightly that night.

Since coming back, Jay has jumped right back into vehicle work. He received several calls while we were in the States, so there’s plenty waiting for him in the shop!

Ways to Pray

  • Night to Shine: Pray we’re accepted as hosts and receive the grant, and that we plan everything with wisdom and excellence, bringing glory to God.
  • My dad: He was recently diagnosed with cancer again and began treatment today. Please pray for complete healing and that this treatment is effective. We serve a big God who still works miracles.
  • Finances: We’re still working to strengthen our monthly support and would appreciate prayers for provision and peace.
  • Our truck: We’ve been waiting to get it into the mechanic. Please pray there’s space available and that the parts arrive soon.

Ways to Give

If you’d like to partner with us, you can give through:

Thank you for praying with us, encouraging us, and walking alongside our family. We appreciate you more than you know.

Love,

Jay, Kelsie, and Logan
